The SAEISS Autonomous Drone Development Challenge (ADDC) 2025, organized by SAEINDIA Southern Section, is a premier national-level competition that aims to foster innovation, technical excellence, and practical problem-solving among engineering students in the field of unmanned aerial systems. Held from 3rd to 5th April 2025 at KCG College of Technology, Chennai, the event brought together student teams from across the country to conceptualize, design, build, and demonstrate autonomous drones capable of executing mission-based tasks. The competition’s objectives were elevated this year to make it more innovative and competitive. Participating teams were required to develop a drone capable of autonomous takeoff, navigation, and landing; picking up and safely dropping a payload of approximately 300 grams; and scanning a QR code to retrieve hidden data. The challenge not only tested technical skills in areas like propulsion, electronics, automation, and design but also emphasized teamwork, leadership, and real-world engineering application through a rigorous, industry-aligned framework. Representing SAE Collegiate Club Osmania University, Team Jupiter took part in the competition with a dedicated 10-member team, each handling a specialized subsystem of the drone. Their collaboration and temwork enabled them to design and demonstrate a fully autonomous drone system that met all mission objectives—making their participation a milestone for SAEOU. The team members were: G. Suchit – Captain – Propulsion L. Rahul – Design P. Kapil Manideep – Design P. Sai Shanmukha – Automation N. Shashi Preetham – Automation M. Sripriya – Analysis M. Nithya Vardhan– Electronics A. Tejeswar – Electronics K. Adithya – Payload Mechanism Sadiya Maheen – Navigation
