The National Level Competition on Material Selection (NLC-MS) 2024–25, organized by SAEINDIA Southern Section, is designed to help engineering students build a strong understanding of how to choose the right materials for component design and manufacturing. It emphasizes factors like strength, cost, and manufacturability skills that are directly applicable to real-world engineering challenges. The knowledge gained is especially valuable for students participating in national competitions like BAJA, SUPRA, DDC, BDC, TDC, ETWDC, EFWDC, and others, aligning with industry standards and practical project needs. We’re proud to announce that Sripriya Mallina, a B.E. Mechanical Engineering student from Osmania University, secured 1st place at this prestigious event, earning a cash prize of ₹3,000. Competing against students from across the country, she stood out for her clear understanding of material selection and its application to real-world engineering problems. Congratulations to Sripriya on this remarkable achievement! Her success highlights the spirit of technical excellence and innovation we aim to promote at SAEOU.
