The Sheet Metal Forming Competition, held during the Student Convention Manufacturing Events 2024–25 at Loyola ICAM College, challenged 34 collegiate teams nationwide to showcase their skills in precision fabrication, accuracy, and teamwork. Organized by SAEINDIA Southern Section, this event is a key component of the convention’s mission to promote hands-on manufacturing expertise among engineering students. Participants were required to design and form complex sheet metal components to exact specifications, demonstrating not only technical proficiency but also an understanding of real-world manufacturing processes and safety standards. Judging criteria included dimensional accuracy, finish quality, structural integrity, and work methodology—all essential skills for aspiring manufacturing engineers. SAEOU at the Competition We are proud to highlight Team SAE OU, our collegiate club’s spirited representatives, who secured an outstanding 2nd Place among 34 teams.
